She was born March 29th 1985. She was born in Roswell New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson, who is the Mexican child of Rita Stevenson Stevenson and Alan Stevenson Stevenson was born in Mexico. Stevenson is of Mexican heritage, but is American in nationality. At a very young age, her desire to be engaged in sport was strong. Gerina began playing golf after she turned 15 years old. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she took home at the New Mexico state golf tournament. A volleyball player, she was also a participant in state tournaments. At the age of 2003, she began her studies at the University of Texas. During the senior years of her career, she was the winner of every event where she played. In her undergraduate years, she earned the titles as Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the year.
